Senior Telecom Site Supervisor

Broadband Systems ApS is looking for an experienced Senior Telecom Site Supervisor to take a leading role in improving the availability and reliability of our mobile network in Malawi.

This is a field-based role with real responsibility. You will lead local engineers and riggers, oversee improvements across 50+ mobile sites and help ensure that technical work is completed to the required engineering standard.

We are looking for someone who combines strong telecom experience with leadership, initiative and a clear focus on results.

You will work on-site in Malawi and report directly to the technical team based in Denmark.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and guide teams of local engineers and riggers

• Plan and supervise site improvements, including re-design and re-installation of equipment

• Establish Quality Assurance procedures across our 50+ mobile sites in Malawi

• Improve mobile base-station availability

• Ensure site improvements are carried out to the required engineering standards

• Coordinate and follow up on technical work across the sites

Required background and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or similar

• Experience with mobile site engineering

• Previous international mobile-site experience strongly preferred

• Experience with AC/DC rectifiers and battery systems

• Experience with Nokia Flexi and AirScale equipment

• Experience with microwave links

• Knowledge of mobile antenna panels

• Knowledge of IP networking

• Experience leading technical teams

• Strong English communication skills

• Valid driving licence

Contract and conditions

• Contractor position

• Initial 3-month assignment, extendable to 6 months

• Local housing provided

• Laptop and mobile phone provided

• R&R arrangements will be discussed with shortlisted candidates

The position is available for an immediate start, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the role is filled.
