Source : EmploiticRole SummaryThe ADMS System Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation, configuration, integration, testing, and support of Advanced Distribution Management System solutions used by electric utilities to monitor, control, and optimize electricity distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and implement ADMS applications and functionalities according to customer and project requirements.
- Support the integration of ADMS with systems such as SCADA, DMS, OMS, GIS, EMS, and other utility IT/OT platforms.
- Analyze customer technical requirements and translate them into system configurations and solutions.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical validation.
- Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
- Support deployment and commissioning activities at customer sites, including occasional international travel.
- Investigate technical issues and coordinate resolution with engineering, software, product, and project teams.
- Prepare technical documentation, system specifications, test procedures, and customer deliverables.
- Provide technical support during project execution and, where applicable, post-go-live operations.
- Work closely with project managers, software engineers, solution architects, customers, and utility operations teams.
- Ensure that solutions comply with applicable cybersecurity, quality, and engineering standards.What will you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Automation and Control, Industrial Computing, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in distribution network modeling, GIS, SCADA/ADMS/DMS, network planning tools, or related utility software.
- Solid understanding of distribution network topology and equipment (substations, feeders, switching devices, transformers, protection devices) and of power system fundamentals (load flow, phasing).
- Hands-on experience with GIS tools and data (ESRI ArcGIS, Smallworld or QGIS; CIM/XML, shapefiles) and comfort with SQL, Excel or scripting for data transformation and validation.
- Fluency in French and working proficiency in English.
- Legal authorization to work in Algeria.
