PURPOSE:

The Financial Compliance Senior Manager will report directly to the CFO and provide independent oversight and challenge over the effectiveness of financial controls, compliance with Group and local requirements, and the quality of Finance governance.

The role will act as a trusted control and compliance partner to the CFO and Finance leadership team, ensuring that key financial risks are identified early, appropriately mitigated and transparently escalated.

The position will operate through close collaboration with Finance functions and relevant business stakeholders.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Financial Controls & ICOFR

  • Coordinate and oversee the Finance ICOFR framework and annual control activities.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of key financial controls and identify control gaps or weaknesses.
  • Follow up on remediation of control deficiencies and ensure actions are completed on time.
  • Challenge Finance process owners where controls are ineffective, inconsistently applied or unnecessarily manual.
  • Support continuous improvement and simplification of the Finance control environment.

Financial Compliance

  • Identify emerging financial compliance risks and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • Support Finance management in interpreting and implementing new policies, regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain visibility of key Finance compliance obligations and deadlines.

Audit & Assurance Coordination

  • Act as the key Finance coordinator for internal and external audit activities.
  • Coordinate Finance responses to audit requests, findings and recommendations.
  • Track open audit issues and challenge owners on remediation and closure.
  • Identify recurring findings and underlying root causes rather than focusing only on individual issues.

Risk & Control Advisory

  • Provide Finance input on significant new initiatives, projects, systems, products and processes from a financial-control perspective.
  • Assess potential control implications of changes in billing, revenue, CAPEX, procurement, systems and other significant Finance-related processes.
  • Ensure control considerations are addressed before implementation, rather than after issues arise.

Management Reporting & Escalation

  • Provide the CFO with a concise and independent view of the most important Finance control and compliance risks.
  • Establish regular reporting covering significant deficiencies, overdue actions, audit findings and emerging risks.
  • Escalate material issues promptly where management action or CFO intervention is required.
  • Preparing reports for ARC (Audit and Risk Committee)
  • Reporting to Group Finance function on the progress of Group lead Compliance initiatives

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge :

10 to 15 years of experience in financial audit, internal control.

Minimum Entry Qualifications:

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field.
